Fiker Institute & The Embassy of Ukraine Co-Host Evening Celebrating Ukrainian Culture

Dubai, UAE – January 14, 2026 –

Fiker Institute and the Embassy of Ukraine in the UAE jointly hosted an evening dedicated to celebrating Ukrainian history and cultural heritage, featuring an author conversation with Dr Sergiy Spivakovsky on The Ukrainian Volya. The book brings together 39 true stories that embody the Ukrainian concept of volya, told through the lived experiences of ordinary people who choose resilience amid uncertainty.

The evening opened with remarks by HE Oleksandr Balanutsa, Ambassador of Ukraine to the UAE, and convened diplomats, researchers, and members of Fiker Institute’s Library for an exchange on history, identity, and storytelling.
