Fiker Institute & Dirwaza Curatorial Lab Host Second Reading Session

Dubai, UAE — July 3, 2026 — Fiker Institute and Dirwaza Curatorial Lab co-hosted the second guided reading session as part of the Creating In Times of War collaboration. The session explored how writers, artists, and intellectuals have grappled with themes of identity, cultural preservation, conflict, displacement, memory, and survival through the written word in the Gulf.

Similar to the inaugural session, the session invited participants to engage closely with selected texts and consider what cultural production can reveal during moments of rupture and uncertainty.
